Application date	The application date is the date on which the necessary application information (application for registration, applicant’s address, representation of the trademark, list of goods or services) is received by the Trademark Office. The application date determines seniority, duration of protection, and the priority period of the trademark. Once the application information has been submitted, the representation of the trademark can no longer be changed and the list of goods and services filed cannot be extended. Goods or services may only be removed.
